Dieting with Green Tea

You do not have to be English to enjoy tea. In fact, considering the many benefits one can get from teas, everybody should give tea time some serious thoughts. There is a wide variety of teas to choose from—green tea, black tea, yellow tea, whit tea, and more. Today, we are going to focus on the green tea. Green tea refers to the kind of tea coming from the leaves of Camellia sinensis, commonly known as the tea plant.

Although green tea has several variations, Chinese green teas are regarded as the most preferred. The difference from one variety to another lies in the harvest time, growing stages, and manufacturing.

China is not the only Asian country which produces green teas. Japanese green teas are nearly as popular as Chine green teas. Locally, the green tea is plainly called “tea”. Japanese green teas include the common tea, roasted tea, covered tea, stalk tea, rubbed tea, pan-fried tea, buds and tips tea, and broiled tea.

Ever since green tea was discovered years ago, it has been viewed as traditional medicine. Just ask the Chinese, Japanese, Indians, and Thais. Nearly all ailments are cured with the aid of green tea. If you are bleeding, if you have a wound, if you feel cold, if your blood sugar is soaring, if you are suffering from indigestion... All these and more are alleviated through green tea consumption.

After numerous researches, green tea is confirmed to bring about certain health benefits such as lower cholesterol level, lower blood pressure, and good dental health. It also helps in fighting the aging process and preventing serious complications like hypertension, heart problems, Alzheimer’s disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.

It was only a matter of time when green tea is discovered as a great tool in losing weight. Surely you have heard of the green tea diet. If you are one of the people who are continually looking for a diet that works, you should give the green tea diet a try.

You may be wondering how green tea helps in losing weight. Well, for one, green tea suppresses anybody’s appetite.
